Carol – How wonderful to hear from you. Still learning the ins and outs of blogging and you were the first comment. Awesome! Send back your email address as we are trying to build a email group.

Okay, I am really impressed and this is going to be tons of fun. I love the idea of the blog and will look for photos this weekend. Great to see comments from everyone, and thanks Linda for being so “techie”.

Very excited to be part of the planning committee even though I missed the first meeting. Can’t wait to get to Miller’s again for some fun.
    Sorry I missed out.

Oh, my gosh! Can’t believe I’ve lived in Dearborn and Dearborn Heights for all these years and this is the first time I’ve had contact with anyone from high school! Got a post card TODAY (from you, Charbs?) and thought I’d get in on this. Just happen to be home for the next 2 months as I just had a total hip replacement May 1st and am recuperating. Have never had an opportunity to get to Ford Field OR the class reunions (and still can’t this year), as our family reunion is always the first Saturday in August. This website is awesome though, for those of us like me who haven’t had that opportunity. Will be putting this website on my desktop so I can check it out often. My Mom said she ran into you recently, Charbs. Can’t believe I’ve never ran into anyone in Dearborn myself all these years. Good reading about everybody. Have fun at the reunion again this year, and GO WINGS!!

Please come back ofter. I’m hoping to keep posting stuff and hopefully that will include pictures from the reunion.

    Hi Everyone,

I joined your class in Sept 1972 but I wish I was there in 1970.
My 1st 2 years were at St Mary’s of Orchard Lake but that never worked out.
Sacred Heart High was very good to me in the 2 short years I was there and I loved every moment of it.

I met a lot of you at the 10 year reunion in 1984 but that’s been it since then.

I still occasionally look thru my ’73 and ’74 yearbooks to re-hash the good ole days.

Hopefully I can attend the 35th reunion in August.

As you may have noticed, I have been listed on since 1999

        Hi Ray,

I’m doing fine in my old age…lololol
        Hopefully you are too.

        Yeah….it’s been a VERY LONG TIME !!!!!!

Pauline and I just made it thru our 27th year of wedded bliss (May 22)……hopefully many more to come.

I still enjoy the oldies from high school so now I have my own library of 8000 songs and 500 music videos from the 50s thru the 80s…. thanks to the internet.

I’m still in Dbn Hts (north end) since 1976.

Wish there was some way to contact each other but this site blocks all personal info.

I’m enjoying a quiet retirement in the good old Irish Hills back on 50 acres. My husband and I built a log home on a private peaceful lake we call home. If you get out this way, look me up. You are all welcome.

    • Diane, if you get a chance, drop me a line. We have 2 horse boarded in Ann Arbor and are trying to find some land out near Irish Hills. Any ideas?

    Hey All:

I heard from Mike Fedel that you might not have my address. I’ve moved around a lot (not easy being in the Witness Protection Program).

And, a sad by the way. In late fall 2009, my best buddy and friend from Sacred Heart, Pam Franko, passed away suddenly. I’m sure her family can still use your prayers.

Take care and see you at the reunion.

  14. Re websites: for a few years, I hosted the SH alum newsletter. anyone who wants to take a look click to: I wonder if we can get these hosted somewhere else? Who’s been doing it the last 10 years?

    Hi Team,
I’m glad to hear about the reunion! How many 1970-1973 folks are coming?
I look forward to seeing SH “Shamrocks”. Hooray for getting the party started! XOXOXOXOXO, MCCB

    • Hi Connie,

So far, for sure…my sister Deb is coming. We’ve had a few other inquiries from other alumni, but so far only Deb has sent in her reservation. That could be because I was the one sending it in for the both of us. We sure hope you and Ed can come. I know Deb will love to see you and will all of us.

  17. Posted by Joanne Benson Beckish on July 18, 2009 at 7:02 pm

Wow!!!This sounds like quite a party..I wish I could be be there ( I’d have to “crash” it though,,, not REALLY a true Shamrock as I went “public” in 10th grade). Hope everyone has a great time and I’m certain that no one looks a day over 30 😉

      Hi Tim,
Ray emailed me that he & his wife enjoyed your company at the reunion last Sat nite.
I’m glad that you all had a good time.
Wish I was there but I could NOT get off work due to schedule conflicts.
Hopefully I can see all of you at the 40th in 2014.

  19. Posted by Joyce Bonventre on July 22, 2009 at 5:11 pm

    Hello Linda,
I received the Sacred Heart 35th Reunion notice from you. Unfortunately, I am not the Joyce Bonventre that you want. Because I realize that the time is short between now and the reunion, I checked on line and found some other “Joyce Bonventre’s”. Strange I know! Anyway, there is a listing in Southgate and one in Dearborn – neither of which have an address. The third one is in Northville and does give an address. Since they are all listed as being 52 years old, I think they are all the same person and may be the one you need. So here is the address:
    Joyce A Bonventre
    16958 Sycamore Court
    Northville, MI

Good luck – and have a great time at your reunion!

Classes of 1970 to 1976…Chris and I plan on being there at about 9:00 pm on August 1st…looking forward to seeing the great young people (now a little older) that made the Shamrocks of Sacred Heart the envy of Dearborn and the Catholic League A-West…Coach Harrison and his still pretty wife Chris!!

    Hi all,

Vicki (Beard) Sandlin here. Received an email forward from Joanne (Corrigan) Miller ’75 who is a friend and neighbor here in Georgia. So glad to be connected to this group again, and sorry I missed the 35th reunion! Hope to see everyone next year for the 40th! My daughter is getting married on June 7, 2014 so I hope the reunion is later in the summer (July or August). Have a great time catching up with folks reading everything on this blog!

    • Hi Vicki,

Great to hear from you. I’ve made note of your email address. Planning has just started for the 40th Reunion. Keep checking our blog for more details. Sure hope you can make it.
